7 Ways To Get Ahead

Top Ten lists are fun, but there’s something I prefer about 7 lists. They are unique and they are more concise. Anyways, I decided to put together a list of 7 ways to get ahead. I hope you find these information and useful in your own life.

1) Marry Well. Marry the bosses daughter, marry a tycoon’s daughter, or just marry someone who will be supportive and help you get ahead.

2) Learn A New Skill Every Week. Try to focus on learning one new skill every week. If you don’t have the time, then learn a new one every month. Still don’t have the time? Make it.

3) Take 10% out of your paycheck, invest it and completely forget you have it. You’d be amazed how easy it is to live on 10% less salary.

4) Eat At Home More. Not only does it save you money, but guess what? It helps you eat better quality food, feel healthier, and live longer.

5) Tell one person every day how much you appreciate them. This is amazing. Imagine telling your co-workers, your friends or even your family members just how much you appreciate them every day. You’ll soon find people going out of their way to help you get ahead.

6) Set Your Priorities and stick with them. Keep with your strategy, when things are dark and things aren’t going as you thought, think twice before abandoning a well thought out plan. Success could be right around the corner.

7) Act as If You Have Succeeded. The best way to be successful is to act successful. Believe that you are successful and you will be.

If you have some to add to the list, go ahead and leave a comment with your ideas.

  4. It seems like odd numbered lists are the current in thing. Unfortunately everyone else is starting to do Top 7 lists too. Its coming to the point where you need to present a Top 37 Things list to be unique.

  6. The last one is the biggest true, because when you behave like the one you want to be, you become that one you want.

  8. Right now I’m all about learning new skills. Whenever I get discouraged or down in the dumps I just remind myself of everything I know now that I didn’t know last year or what I’ve learned to do that I couldn’t before. It’s quite a boost for the self-esteem!

  10. Read your first one again. Is that really what the world has come to. Women like you are the reason men don’t like to get into a relationship.

  22. I like #7 the best. Just believing in yourself and promoting that positive image is huge in being a successful person. There is a saying that goes “dress for the job you want, not the job you have”, and when it comes to being successful I would say “portray yourself as the person you want to be, not the person you think you are”. Great article, thanks for sharing!
