6pm on Sunday night, you just gotta hate that time. Every Sunday when I look at the clock and see that it is 6pm, I know one thing. My weekend has ended and all of a sudden it is a regular day. I usually get home every day at 5:30pm. So Sunday at 6pm, it is just like a regular day. It seems like I ain’t got no time at all. All sense of fun and hope has done left me and I begin to reflect on just how goll darn short my weekend was. What did I do with my weekend? Heck if I can remember. All I know is that the weekend is done over and it is now just like a regular day.

Teaching with Lee Roy Week 1
I guess this is my first of hopefully many weekly columns. It ain’t anything special, just me talking about my week spent teaching in Asia, in Thailand in particular, at least right now. I have been doin’ this teachin’ thang for a while now and it is a way to pays the bills and show me a good time. Maybe I can help y’all learn a little more about what it is like to be a teacher. Maybe not? But least ways we can have us some fun.

Failing the CELTA
The Certificate in English Language Teaching for Adults, better known as the CELTA, is the mother of all TEFL Certificates, or so says a lot of its supporters. The CELTA course is considered to be a very tough course that some find just too difficult. For better or worse, other TEFL courses are benchmarked against the CELTA. I had a good hearty laugh today reading this man’s experience failing the CELTA course not once, but twice.
