Back On The Homestead
I wonder how long it will be before these latest economic storms are going to cause people to check out a bunch of old Mother Earth News issues and start planning an escape back to the homestead. I’m sure there are people considering it right now. I know I have seen an increase in people looking for property with acreage away from the city now. Other’s are remodeling their homes with the rustic and useful look of the past. It’s no wonder that farmhouse sinks are becoming increasingly popular. You can do a lot with a farmhouse sink, especially if you are into a lot of cooking or canning. Maybe I should get one for my wife?

I’m not sure a ton of people will be trying to move out of the city but I do think people are going to start trying to be more off the grid while living in the city. Food storage, solar/wind power, home gardens and things of that nature. check out http://www.providentliving.org for self reliance info.
I love the looks of those old farm house sinks. But I dont think they are cheap.
