If you want to do any kind of business online then you need to be able to take good images. We needed to get a new camera recently so we wanted to make it a camera that would fulfill our needs. I went online looking through a lot of reviews trying to find the best brand and model for our needs. We ended up going with a Canon camera. It was a good choice.

My wife has been able to take some really awesome pictures with it and her blog is filled with them. Awesome.

Remote Backups = Real Backups

I was talking with a friend the other day about backup options for his business. He is not into IT and hasn’t really been doing much backing up of his data. Every once in awhile he will back up his data, but he will back it up on a portable hard drive in the office. Bad Idea because that’s not a real backup. A real back up is one with a remote backup service.

If you need to do regular backups, you should seek out a remote backup service that can do everything automatically. There are a lot of them available so have fun.

Diamonds and Platinum Investments

I was discussing investment options with a friend of mine in terms of the current economic climate. The usual talk about gold and silver came up, but there was also talk about investing in diamonds and platinum. I find that interesting because they are not traditional storehouses of value but the truth is they do hold value and actually increase in value over time. That’s a good indicator of a good storehouse of value in uncertain economic times.

I guess I need to do more research on platinum and diamonds. Anybody have any great resources?

Personally Enriching Insurance

It seems like everyone who has bought a car in the last 10 years has included mechanical breakdown insurance in their purchase. It’s a good idea actually because you know that you won’t have unexpected expenses come up when you least expect it. That’s the whole point of insurance anyways, right? This kind of insurance actually seems more personally enriching than the other kinds, especially with my luck with cars.

New Or Used Office Furniture?

I don’t know if it’s me, but it seems like most office furniture is sold new these days. I was pondering this the other day and I came to conclusion that it’s because companies like to put their best foot forward when starting out or expanding. Additionally, office furniture lasts a long so it doesn’t really need replacing often. I also think there could be some tax benefits with going with new. Anyways, there you have it.
