If you are thinking about financial independence, then you are probably thinking about starting an online business. If you are going to start an online business, there are many different expenses that you’ll have and just about all of them will need to be paid for with a credit card. That was one of the obstacles that I ran into when I started working online for the first time. I spent day after day looking for the perfect credit card for my personal financial situation and goals.

I just discovered Credit Card Hub the other day and they have a great way of finding a credit card. In the sidebar, there are several questions for you to answer, such as your credit rating, what’s important to you and the annual fee you are willing to pay. From the answers, it will search its database for possible credit card matches. Your choices will appear with all of the important information is right there in front of you so you can decide for yourself if the credit card fits your needs.

I just really liked how there was information on so many different credit cards. I like no annual fee credit cards and there were many to choose from. It really does deserve the name the Credit Card Hub. I also liked how it kept track of your recently viewed credit cards so you could go back to them later. All in all, it represents a good way to search for credit cards.

Trading Futures and Forex

When I was abroad, I noticed many people making their living by doing day trading of stocks, futures and forex. I don’t know how many people were actually as successful as they claimed to be, but enough people claimed to be earning money by trading that I really think it is a viable way to earn money for some.

It’s risky, of course, but forex and futures trading can bring huge rewards. It’s just a matter of understanding the markets and understanding that you are going to lose money nearly as often(or even more often) than you are going to gain money. It’s understanding just how volatile the markets are.

I’d love to hear feedback from those earning money by trading futures and forex online. It might be a great opportunity for earning money and getting ahead. Isn’t that what The TEFLWatch Files is all about?

Building A Cohesive Strategy

I have been doing a lot of work lately promoting websites that I own. I am trying to make them all come together in a cohesive web of niches. I do not know how successful it will be, but it does demonstrate a change in tactics. It’s change that I have been wanting to make for quite awhile, but I haven’t went ahead and made it happen.

Why not? There are a lot of reasons. The biggest of these reasons is my time availability has just been non-existent. I have been having so many different ongoing projects at any one time, that it’s hard to devote time to a project right now that will not pay dividends right now and instead will require me to wait at least several months to a see an expected rather than an actual return.

What does that mean for the TEFLWatch Files? It means a continued focus on quality articles that are useful for those who have left teaching behind and are interested in making income. Stay with us on this journey.

Credit Cards: Starting A New Business

One important way to help yourself get ahead financially is to open your own business. It really doesn’t matter what kind of business you decide to open, but it should be something that meets two criteria. First, it needs to be in an area that you love. Secondly, it has to be in an area that is profitable.

Once you decide what kind of business you are going to start, you can start putting together everything you need to make your business a success. If you are running a retail business, you will undoubtedly need to find a credit card processing provider so that you can accept credit cards. These are called merchant services.

How do you get these credit card merchant services? You get them by getting a merchant account. There are many different merchant accounts out there and not all of them are created equal. Every cent counts when you are opening a new business so it pays to shop around. One place worth checking out is Onlinecheck.com. They have a free merchant account with low transaction rates so that you can save significant money on your credit card processing.

After getting a merchant account in place, there are many other things to look at putting into place in your business. You’ll need inventory, employees, and even a web presence. We will look at these in later posts as we look at helping each other get ahead in life.

What A Speech She Gave

I can’t stop thinking about the great speech that Sarah Palin did tonight at the Republican National Convention. It was so awesome and she really got people fired up. It seems like she really is a good choice for Vice President. McCain did the right thing selecting her. Finally, there is someone just like me and my family running for the second highest office in the land.

I guess it’s also time for me to roll out newest political site. I have a few more things to get ready, but in the next day or two, Revolution Starts Now will be up and going with business and political news and commentary. Until then, take a look at this Sarah Palin video:
