Last summer, I think I ran my air conditioning on every day when the temperature climbed above the mid 70’s. I think it was kind of wasteful, but I find that I work my most productive when I am cool. I find it easier to concentrate and easier to get my work done. So maybe it isn’t so wasteful?

Anyways, I am a bit concerned that my air conditioning compressor got worked out a bit too much of the summer. It looks like I might want to have it checked out before next summer rolls around. Just another expense to pay.

Remodeling My Home Office = Higher Productivity

One thing I decided to do this week was to remodel my home office area. I just found that the current layout was making me less productive than I could be. I knew that I have to improve the lighting and the ergonomics of the office where I work 8 to 12 hours day, 6 days a week. That means out with the old furniture and in with more contemporary furniture. It meant getting a new desk, a new chair and even putting a sofa over on the wall so that when I need a break, I can go and lounge out for a half an hour or so.

What has been the results of this change? The change was so impressive. I have seen my productivity start to increase and find it even more enjoyable to do my project work. More project work means more income. I estimate that I will repay for the change in my home office in just 1 month from the increased productivity. Not too bad, heh?

Finding Moving Boxes

One of the hardest parts about moving is not packing or even the physical work of moving, it’s the finding of boxes. It used to be so easy, just go to a local grocery store and you could get all of the boxes you need for a move. Then for some unknown reason, you could no longer get boxes at the grocery store. For awhile there was a dearth of places to find good boxes, but now that is changing. There are now great places to get moving boxes online. Maybe moving is going to start getting easier once again.

Doing Some Remodeling

My wife and I are looking at remodeling our kitchen and our food bar area. We have old sink next to the food bar and it doesn’t look so nice. I am thinking we might replace the sink with a bar sink. I just like the way they look. These type of sinks, calledbar sinks, have a certain style and look that would be perfect for our food bar. I think it might be the right touch we are looking for.
