Laptop Upgrades: Which Do You Like?
I am looking at upgrades for my laptop and I can’t help but come to the conclusion that the best and most efficient upgrade I can get for it is an increase in system memory. Increasing my memory will allow me to run more complex programs more quickly plus I might just improve my Windows Experience Index. It will also enable me to do more video editing on my laptop instead of my desktop and that could be a huge bonus.

Innovations In Online Education
I am doing a lot of looking at different schools these days as a way of getting new ideas in education. I keep going back to online schools. They offer people a chance to learn online from home. I see there are opportunities for innovation in this area.
A good example is a growing category of online high schools. It’s actually cool because it’s a program that works well for the home school crowd. They can have their children learn at home and get a quality education. Pretty interesting indeed.

I was talking with a friend the other day about backup options for his business. He is not into IT and hasn’t really been doing much backing up of his data. Every once in awhile he will back up his data, but he will back it up on a portable hard drive in the office. Bad Idea because that’s not a real backup. A real back up is one with a remote backup service.
If you need to do regular backups, you should seek out a remote backup service that can do everything automatically. There are a lot of them available so have fun.
Online Backups Can Save The Day
I used to have a lot of pictures on an external hard drive. I was pretty comfortable in knowing that I wouldn’t lose them. Yeah right. It died a brutal death and I lost a lot of family pictures. It’s not something I want to repeat again. I have since realized that I need to backup my photos and an online backup is the way to go. It’s convenient and easy.
I suggest that you look at the online backup alternatives out there before it’s too late.
Why No Receipt Printers In Taxis?
I am always interested in the things I see in different taxis around the world. One thing I haven’t seen yet is a receipt printer. Every place I go, it’s in the news to start requiring them, but the news always says in the future. It seems like taxis will never go ahead and voluntarily install them and they always seem lobby against them.
It’s easy to see why they don’t want them though…receipts might make them pay honest taxes on their taxi fares and keep their fares honest with customers.
