New Comment Policy
We have a new comment policy here. We haven’t had one listed before, but it is probably time to come up with a policy and begin enforcing it, both on new comments and previous comments. Over the next few weeks, I will be reviewing all left comments to ensure that they conform to these new rules. No new comments will be approved that do not meet these requirements. If the comment is otherwise acceptable, I may edit to remove items that violate the rules.

Thewpaingarm School in Bangkok is just a funky place if reading the forums in any indication. In the forum thread, we got to read a little about the common problems that TEFL teachers everywhere complain about; unsupportive administration, low pay, bad students, etc. It was a run of the mill thread until the bomb dropped.

Private Tutor and Nanny Job Offers
We’ve talked about Nanny and Private Job Offers before in the TEFLWatch Forum, but I’m seeing an increase in complaints from TEFL and ESL teachers about these kind of scams more and more recently so it’s time we put a warning about them here on the front page. While some offers, I’m sure, are legitimate, many it seems are not and English teachers looking for jobs abroad need to be aware of this.

We’ve got a new category here, it’s for offenses that may not be strong enough for the Hall of Shame and may not really be worthy of a Special Warning. For those schools, they usally just sitting in the forum or in Rate This School and that’s where they stay.
