If you want to open a retail business then they say that you need a POS system. It sure is different these days than when I was kid. I remember they had the old clunky metal registered for years and when I first saw a digital one, I thought it was really cool. Suddenly when they could do bar code scanning it was even more amazing. Now, they have full scale POS systems that can even help you take inventory and help make sure your orders are accurate. How is that for cool?

Speaking about adventures, something that I’d like to do once we are settled is take a trip out to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. They have some nice places to rent out there. If you haven’t taken a look at the Outer Banks rentals that are available then you don’t know what you are missing. They have some really great places that are just like home, only they are in an awesome vacation resort. This is what I really love.

Some of you may be aware that I am preparing to make a large move. It also means that we will be a doing a lot of traveling over the next week or so. I have been spending a lot of time packing and getting everything ready. We even had to go out and buy new luggage.

I don’t like shopping in general, but I do enjoy shopping for luggage. Maybe I am strange that way, but for me, luggage symbolizes a great trip and the start of a new adventure. And who doesn’t like shopping for a new adventure?

Adding Berries To The Garden

Adding berry plants to your garden can be a great way to improve your home. I remember when I was a kid, we’d always go out several times during the late summer and early fall to pick blackberries. In Oregon where I grew up, Blackberry plants would grow wild so it was very easy to pick all the blackberries you could ever want to eat.

When I got older, though, I realized that not every place has wild blackberries and if you want to enjoy blackberries then you need to purposely grow them. This means finding a good stock of blackberry plants and then taking good care of them.

Career Training Diversity

I have fielded emails from people concerned about the economy. They are wondering what they should do. Some have lost their jobs and others fear losing their job. There is one thing in common with everyone who emails me about their job woes and that is a lack of proper training.

If you are worried about your job, one way to solve this is to increase the breadth of training that you have. The more training you have in supportive fields, the better it is for your income. One particularly interesting type of training is medical assistant training school. This is a great skill to have and it will pay you dividends down the road.
