Improve Your Chances With Proper Test Prep

Years ago, when I lived in Mexico City, I taught GRE, GMAT and SAT Test Preparation classes to Mexican students. Most of the time I taught in a classroom setting, but occasionally I would teach one on one classes. These one on one classes were highly effective in helping students improve their scores on standardized tests.

One thing I learned when giving these classes was that scoring well on a standardized test like the GMAT, GRE or SAT was just as much test taking techniques as it was actual knowledge. Those who could learn tips and tricks to taking these tests could score higher than those who just focused on learning subject knowledge. Often times, the results were simply amazing.

Unfortunately, these tips and tricks are not that easily discovered and sometimes the value is even doubted by learning students, but the proof is always in the pudding. Because of this, my advice to students is to always get extra training and learn more. This means taking proper GRE, GMAT or SAT Test Preparation classes from knowledgeable tutors.

I have come across a few knowledgeable tutors in my time. One of them is Club Z Tutoring. They offer one on one tutoring and instruct in many different areas. In fact, they have already helped more than 100,000 students improve themselves.

RefocusingMany visitors to TEFLWatch often wonder why I went from solely an educational blog to focus more on educational opportunities, training opportunities and business opportunities. The truth is that I think people are better served talking about opportunities inside these areas.

Face it, we are at a turning point economically and the only real way to get ahead is to make sure that we are focused in the right direction. Focusing on opportunities to better ourselves is the best way forward and the best way to focus ourselves on better things.

Learning new skills increases your job marketability and helps you get ahead. This is plain, simple and true. For me, I have tried my best to learn more and increase my skills and knowledge. So far I can say that it has made me better and have improved my own job prospects.

I think every few months, I come across something I really want to learn and it becomes my dream job for awhile. Right now, I am pretty seriously studying for the patent bar exam. Why? I’d like to be a patent agent and help inventors protect their inventions. It’s all about helping protect the progress that made this country great.

This career is interesting because there are multiple paths to being able to take the patent bar exam. For me, I am going to go ahead and take the Fundamentals of Engineering exam and then take the Patent Bar exam. I would also like to study at least some law along the way. One that interests me is the Paralegal or Professional Investigation courses found on Learn.com.

Learning at Learn.com means that I can really take advantage of elearning and get the training I need to make a great new career without leaving home and without spending too much money. That’s a positive right now because in this economy every penny counts.

Gold ProspectorHave you given much thought to gold prospecting? If you haven’t then maybe you should. I was hearing that there is an untold amount of gold in the hills just ready to be picked up. Can you imagine how it could change your life to pick up a gold mining claim and then work it? You could make much more than you do in your current job and spend your time working out in the great outdoors. How’s that for enjoying life?

There are some thing that you need to get started, but believe it or not, the most basic thing you need is a gold pan….and then just some basic camping equipment. Yep, that’s all. If you do that, then you are set to find your riches right under your feet as a gold prospector.

I will be exploring this topic more in depth on this or another blog, but don’t worry, I will keep you posted.

Producers Put It All Together

I love good movies and I love seeing how everything is put together. While the director is in charge of directing the scenes, the producer is the one There is a recent good movie out there co-produced by Ira Riklis that was released in in April. It’s called Lemon Tree. I first heard about it during a CNN segment and it really got my interest. I won’t spoil it by telling you the plot, see it for yourself. It’s definitely worth a watch.

I have been hearing some pretty good things about the films he is able to put together as a co-producer. He’s got a very unique way of making everything really come together and I look forward to seeing more movies that he has a hand in producing. Especially if they are all like Lemon Tree.
