Finally Getting Help
I just found out that a friend of mine is finally ready to confront the demons that he has been trying to fight in vain for the last several years. He finally seems ready to go and get some professional help in the form of drug rehab. I think that’s a great idea. It’s the focus of a unit in health class at the school am I teaching at. We are trying to give kids the info they need so they can get help now, before it’s too late. Whether it’s in lessons, lectures, report or even with the DARE officer.
Holidays are Big on the Appetite
I am looking at a variety of appetite suppressants as I try to trim down some pounds. The holidays are upon us and after a very nice Thanksgiving, now is the time to start some preparation work for Christmas and all the candies and desserts and great food in store, if you know what I mean. There is no controlling my appetite in front of great food. Mmm, I do love the holidays.
Interesting Remodeling Again?
The other day I was looking for a new stainless steel backsplash . Don’t ask me why, though it probably has something to do with all of the new remodeling work we are doing. My brother is helping us and that’s what he asked for. Go figure. Let’s see what more we are going to need to get in order to get all of this remodeling done. Hopefully it will pay off when we sell the house.
Do sinks improve home value?
I am looking at further improvements in our home this Christmas so I had a conversation with a neighbor of mine to get some ideas. It turns out that he recently installed new sinks in his kitchen and bathroom. He felt that they were a good example of adding value that is always functional right now. Looking at the new sinks convinced me that he was dead on. This is why I am thinking of doing the same.
Any opinions?
Getting A New Camera
It looks like I need to get myself a new digital camera in the next few weeks. That’s a good thing so I have spent some time looking at digital cameras. There are many to choose from but I think I will stick with a Sony. I like the sony that I have had for the last few years and since I have spare memory sticks, I might as well keep them.
Of course, I would love to hear other ideas out there.
