Follow Up on TEFL Sites

I’ve always been concerned offending other TEFL sites when working with TEFLWatch because they were a significant source of traffic. I gave many of the sites a long leash and I listened to the myriad of arguments that they had to earn money too. I guess they do and they should be run like a business, but any business that exists with the primary objective of fleecing new teachers is a lousy business and one that needs to be called out. So here is your chance, people.

You can call out a TEFL site on this thread. If you want your comment to appear then you need to make it between 100 and 200 words and give support for at least 3 reasons why you are calling them out.

No calling out TEFLWatch, there’s plenty of other sites where you can do that if you are a school lackey.

    The site is supported by some of the world’s absolute worst recruiters, rip-off teacher trainer TEFL courses and notorious ESL schools that prey on unsuspecting teachers. Speak out against their sponsors and not only does your post get deleted, but you also get banned without a warning or email.

    The moderation on the forums is sketchy at best. They tend to allow all sorts of inflammatory abuse that violate the terms of service while deleting perfectly reasonable posts for no apparent reason. And when you report the abuse or trolling posts, the moderators tell you to ignore it.
