Managing Your Teaching Information
We are firmly back in the realm of educational discussions. I want to make that clear to everyone. From this point forward, we are focused on how to make you become a better teacher. One way to become a better teacher is to use technology to improve the delivery or management of your teaching.
Flash drives are ubiquitious these days. Everyone seems to have one or two or several. I have a couple of them, but I have found that a better idea is to have several small micro sd cards and then swap them in and out of my card reader when I need them. They are so small, but they’ll hold an enormous amount of data, like movies, music, presentations and even lesson plans. They are all easy to access and use.

Flash drives are enormously useful, and capacity is getting cheaper all the time. Educators can install entire Linux distributions on them and boot up an otherwise Windows-only PC for demonstration, educational, or even diagnostic / recovery purposes.
The flip side of course is that data can go out on these devices as easily as it comes in. Just be sure to encrypt anything confidential, and choose an encryption solution that extends to removable devices.
