New Planned Changes

TeflWatch is making some changes over the next week or so. Some of these changes will be cosmetic changes, some will be content changes. We will always remain independent of any organization and we will always be 100% pro-teacher. Our goal is to remain relevant after the complaining is done and be a resource teachers can turn to.

First off, we are adding a new weekly teaching piece written by an anonymous teacher in Asia. It will try to be a tongue in cheek but no holds barred account of teaching in Asia. I got an email from the writer two weeks ago and the idea of giving him a weekly column has grown on me.

Secondly, I am starting a new monthly feature entitled “Profiles in Courage.” It aims to profile both the positive and negative experiences of a TEFL teacher. If you have both positive and negative teaching experiences, drop me a PM on the discussion forum if you would like to be profiled.

Thirdly, the Hall of Shame will drop from once a week to once every two weeks. In its off weeks we will introduce a poll topic and rant/comment on a previous poll.

Lastly, I am compiling a list of schools with both positive and negative threads on our discussion forum. The list will be updated weekly and will serve as a way for users to quickly check on a school without trolling countless pages of topics.

These are just four of the coming changes to TeflWatch. The goal is simple, to have people come back to the site on a regular basis. The more regular visitors to this site, the more relevant the stories presented are.

Is there any feature you would like added? Let me know and I will see about adding it!
