Health issues can sometimes be exasperated when you go aboard to travel, live or work. It’s a very good idea that before you go abroad for anything but a short vacation to get a full physical done by a doctor in your home country. The doctor can check for any possible problems on the horizon and he can advise you on any shots you might need.

This helps you ensure that your health doesn’t become an issue when you are abroad. You might also want to check out if any medical insurance you have is available abroad. If not then you need to look into travel medical insurance.

It is also great to have a first-aid kit with you, including most necessary medications (those you need daily or those that can help with diseases you are prone to), a couple band-aids, something to help with stomach-ache (for those trying different “ethnic” meals abroad). + something against allergy…
