I have worked for Siam Computer at Victory Monument for nearly five years now. I have never had a problem with Siam. They are always helpful and polite.
I generally find that if you are a good and reliable person you won’t have any problems. However, if you are the type who always calls in sick on Mondays, or doesn’t turn up for work etc. then you will, of course, incur the wrath of the management. Rightly so if you ask me!
Siam is currently undergoing several big changes regarding management and management styles. Things can only get better.

I worked for Siam Computer Petburi back in 2002 and it was the worst job I ever had.Teachers quit right and left, staff was mostly surly and uncooperative. They have a mold called “the good teacher” and if you dont fit it precisely, you are doomed. .and become “the bad teacher”. The contract you out to local schools, some are OK some are hell on earth. But you never get to know the local teachers or the kids and you never become part of a community except that provided by your fellow “teachers”, the surly staff and the Chinese Thai owners who are squeezing every satang out of the business. Only advantage, they will hire you if you have a white face. Period.

I had a rather unpleasant experience working for this outfit in 2006/2007. I was promised books, I did not get any. I had to buy my own. I was promised support, I did not get any. All lies. Avoid this school!

Their franchise has been withdrawn and they are trading under another name, but same old tricks and scams. Forget about so called “poor schools”, they are in it for the money, yours, theirs or anyones. Avoid Phetchaburi as there is a concerted effort by many employers to keep the wages low and make you pay for everything.
