Tweaking My Home Theater System

Have you put together a home theater system yet? It was one of the most fun home projects that I ever undertook when I put together a home theater system in our house. It all had to be perfect from a big screen LCD to a great sound system. It was fun spending time tweaking the system for optimum enjoyment.

Of course, before I could get it perfect, I had to have the right kind of seating. There is nothing like leather home theater seating to add a nice professional, comfortable feel to my home theater system. I sure wish I would have gone the extra step and gotten that kind of quality seating.

  4. Hehe, make your own Dave ;) . Do it in the garage, she’ll just say you’re doing what ‘us guys do’, and not pay too much attention.

  6. Congrats Rico. Putting together a home theater system all by yourself is quite an achievement. Just like typo said, there are times when you have to let a professional do the job for you.
Dave, buy your wife a nice gift, some flowers and take her to a fancy restaurant, then make a compromise with her. I’m sure she will agree to a home cinema system. You could both enjoy this special corner of your house.

  8. It’s really great just being able to chill out at home with a good movie but still be able to enjoy the full experience that a home theater can give you. Congratulations on doing it all yourself. There is so much to think about before you even buy a system, let alone the wiring and speaker positioning.

Dave, she might let you do it if you offer some sort of treaty. Say, watching one girly movie with her a month. I know it would be an ordeal but totally worth getting your own home theater!
